Aqua Waterjet or Pure Waterjet is known as Waterjet(WJ). It is the technology that is processed by shooting common water to the surface of material at three times of the sound velocity through a nozzle of sapphire or diamond material after compressing the water with ultra-high pressure (more than 200～400MPa) using high pressure pump. Abrasive Waterjet(AWJ) is the processing method that inhales abrasive material (Principle of Bernoulli: if the speed increases, it inhales abrasive material due to decreased pressure) at the side of shot jet beam after shooting high pressure water through the nozzle and mixing it in the mixing chamber and conflicts it to the surface of material through the focus tube. Pure waterjet is the method of cutting with pure water and is currently used for the cutting of soft products such as food,
medicine, clothes and wood mainly.Abrasive Waterjet equipment whose cutting performance has improved remarkably is used widely in industrial fields by adding abrasives and is used mainly for cutting of thick and hard materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel and composite materials.
